Previous Positions:

2001-2002: Head of Policy Section, NATO-WEU Department.

1997-2001: Head of the Hungarian Mission to the OSCE in Vienna in the rank of Ambassador. Representing Hungary at the Permanent Council, the Forum for Security Cooperation, the Joint Consultative Group and the Open Skies Comission. Heading the Hungarian negotiating team at the CFE-adaptation and Article V. negotiations.

1999-2001: Hungarian representative at NATO HLTF.

1994-1996: Chef de Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

1991-1994: Deputy Head and Head of the Department for Security Policy and Co-operation in Europe. In charge of conventional arms control and non-proliferation, OSCE, Council of Europe, NATO-NACC, WEU.

1987-1991: Deputy Head of Mission of the Hungarian Embassy in London, in the rank of Minister Plenipotentiary.

1987: Desk Officer, Euro-Atlantic Territorial Department.

Main area of interest: Security policy and arms control. Regular participation as speaker or contributor at international conferences, giving lectures at universities, working with NGO-s and civic associations, occasional media appearances. Author of foreign policy related publications, co-author of textbooks.
